The City of Phoenix is asking a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by former police Sergeant Dusten Mullen.

Mullen claims political retaliation after being fired for attending an anti-ICE student protest in Chandler while armed and masked.

The City defends the termination, arguing Mullen admitted to a plan to provoke the teens into assaulting him and lied to Chandler officers. FOX 10’s Justin Lum reports.
