The kind of things I’m thinking of are:

Blue Ruin, Small Town Crime, Emily the Criminal, Cold in July, Hell or High Water.

That latter one is probably verging on the slightly too famous actors and too much budget for this niche, but that’s the kind of stuff I’m interested in. Directors like Jeremy Saulnier and the Safdie Brothers excel at. Recently The Order was interesting too.
