    I never got this: are US libertarians democrats or republican? Or both? Because we have more than 2 parties here and they have their own so to say anarchocapitalist party

          Uh so they’re having their own party, are they factually just clownish background noise or actually somewhere somehow in charge?

          I really thought they’re just a movement in one of the 2 big parties

            Amusingly, both. The Libertarian Party exists, but has failed to draw more than a few % of votes in basically every election it has ever participated in. I think they have won a few seats in some state congresses (maybe one or two in federal congress?) over the years.

      Up until reading this comment I’d completey forgotten about ancaps. They used to be a big taking point on reddit. Just goes to show how irrelevant they were the entire time and how easy it is to distract from important stuff.
