TT is always the answer, of course, but with the troubles we’re having finding the perfect left 8 I’d love to drop Santi Cazorla into our current team. Incredibly press resistant, works hard, and more than creative enough to make our left side as dangerous as our right.

If this question was ‘ex gooner except Vieira and Henry’ it would actually be a question.

It’s Henry, especially now that we have Rice, Henry without a shadow of a doubt.

Henry in the Jesus role would be unstoppable. Van Persie in his prime would also be insane in this team

Prime Henry in today’s squad would win us the League without a doubt and probably have us deep in the CL.

If not Henry I would take Wrighty in a heartbeat.

He would score an insane amount of goals in this team.

Has to be Van Persie. As much as he is a snake and we all love Wrighty, Van Persie is the best striker this club has had by miles (except Henry obviously).

          Starting from 06/07 RVP started

          17 games

          13 games

          24 games

          14 games

          19 games

          37 games

Apart from that one unbelievable season at the end he was never fit enough.

Well the question said in their prime. That 37 game season was RVP in his prime so I don’t see what the problem is here

Nah what is insane is someone thinking Robin was the best striker we’ve had by miles after Henry.

Henry, Bergkamp, Wright, Alan Smith, Walcott, Giroud are all players i’d take before sicknote.

You would take Walcott, who has played striker a grand total of roughly 10 games in his career, over RvP who was an elite striker who had some world class seasons and who dragged a dinosaur of a United team to a Prem title.

                That’s the insane part.

Wright scored 128 goals in 221 games (0.58 goals per game)
RVP scored 96 goals in 194 games (0.49 goals per game)

I choose Wrighty everyday of the week and twice on Sundays

Idk why but when I was a wee lad I was crazy about chamak and I hated van persie for coming back from injury moving my boy to the bench and regressing his career.

I have 2 mugs a jersey and a signed photo of the fella. Probably the only chamak defender in the world
