We should adopt what the MLB does and have one city edition, not one every year, the leaks are horrendous

Not sure what happened to the MLB version of this, but the NBA should do the thing where players have their nickname on their jersey for a weekend. I would pay good money to see BIG GOVERNMENT on someone’s back.

To be a true city edition it should be crowdsourced with fan designs and votes by the fans and whichever one gets the most votes wins. That would be a true city jersey but can’t let fan designers show up Nike designs, which we know they would

Always hated when they just be throwing random colors on that don’t fit the teams color brand (eg Detroit suddenly becoming green this year). Shit makes the weirdest home/away combos.

The idea, I think, was to make it like soccer. The problem is that there’s only like 8-9 teams that get completely custom, new sets of kits from Nike every year and the rest are working with recoloured versions of a handful of templates. There’s just not enough creativity to go around.

Every one I have seen is just straight ass.

But that’s to be expected when the league makes you design a completely new jersey every year. Of course they will be half-assed after five years or so…
