The Peace Fund will invest in programmes that advance a two-state solution, help reduce division, strengthen civil society, and support dialogue and cooperation within and between Israeli and Palestinian communities, building the foundations for peace, a joint statement between the three governments say.

The fund will seek to scale up and attract additional donors once operational.

Fund announced ahead of meeting in Britain between UK foreign minister Yvette Cooper and her Australian and Canadian counterparts, Penny Wong and Anita Anand.

I look forward to see if this goes anywhere and it’s not just a PR song-and-dance replacing taking real action to stop the ongoing slaughter. At this point it sounds vapid.

How’s about, we stop sending weapons to Israel, so they can stop committing actual genocide? Then the leaders can get the Nuremberg treatment. And then it can be a one state, back to Palestine.

Is this the same Labour Party who banned Palestine Action?

Colour me “press X to doubt”.

Leave Labor/Labour, people, for parties who actually share your values. Ffs.

    What an absolute farce.
