“It should have been a goal”. Why? He was offside. Just because was close? So where we draw the line between close enough and offside? Also, this is the semiautomatic system and only took less than 30s.

    People are always complaining.

Are you implying you can only score using your feet? Because what if the person is offsides in the Box and they win a header for a goal but their feet were behind the defenders like in this photo. It’s still offside because you can score with any part of your body, aside from your hand and arm.

      This!

With binary decisions like onside / offside you need to draw a line at some point.

“But it was so close. They should only call clear situations offside.”

This is clear! Head is partly offside. What do you want then to be ‘clearly offside’? 5 cm? Or 10 cm? Then we will have discussions once somebody is 11cm offside.

So when we have to draw a line let’s draw it where it fucking belongs – at 0 cm.

No because he won’t be 1cm offside he will be 11cm offisde, if I’m doing 56mph on a speed trap which the limit is 50mph with a tolerance of 10%, i’m not 1mph above the limit, i’m 6.
