Yes and no this seaosn, we got a lot of clean sheets but also conceded 10 goals in those other 5 games (and that weren’t really high caliber opponents either)…
Last season was def better defensively but that’s the trade off you have to accept when playing Cancelo instead of Kounde at RB
It’s not really Cancelo’s fault either. Xavi has him playing as a 4th midfielder for the most part. This has resulted in a much more dynamic attack at the cost of being more vulnerable to counter attacks.
last seaosn we were more organized in general but we also massively overperformed our xg against due to a perfect storm of Ter Stegen being great, bad finishing from opponents, luck… that was never sustainable, we reverted back to „normality“ now
