I am surprised there isn’t more pressure on Tuchel to include Thomas more, other managers almost lost or eventually lost their job because of this. We love Thomas and we understand he is getting old and probably shouldn’t start every match and play 90 minutes but subbing him on with 5 minutes left to play is a mockery and Tuchel should explain himself.
I don’t think Tuchel is disrespecting Müller, he is just following the team’s project, and at the moment Musiala and Sané are the ones occupying the halfspaces, which are the areas where Müller thrives, basically a new pecking order.
In the past Müller would have complained about it but now I think he recognizes that this is just a matter of developing players, and Musiala is the main priority. I think Müller can acknowledge this was the same way he started way back in the Van Gaal era.
Doesn’t he pretty much have to? Unless you’re starting Krätzig/Pavlovic/Sarr the back 6 are set with Laimer at RB and Musiala next to Kimmich.
In attack there will at least be a couple of senior squad players on the bench, but anything other than Kane/Sané/Müller/Coman to start would be an upset.
Poor Thomas Müller, dragged nearly 2000 kilometres across the continent in order to do a few jogs down the touch line.
he will start, source: trust me bro
Wouldn’t be supprised to see choupo start instead

I mean, Tuchel probably didn’t want to sub him entirely last time, but considering the record for Müller, he subbed him on.
