I’m coming to the realisation he’s not that good or not as good as we thought he could be last season where people were talking about him as the best AM in the league and comparing him with KDB.
He doesn’t have that chance creating ability of a top playmaker and he’s not that press resistant. He also disappears in every big game we play.
Bit of an overreaction mate. He’s out of form, that’s it. He’ll be back. His country also just missed out on the euros,
A bit irrelevant because the chance creation and big games criticism was also true last season when he was in the form of his life.
He’s just not that difference maker player like KDB or other world class AMs

Reactionary takes like this are just beyond dumb. Joint top scorer for us last season, including some in big games. Ridiculous to say he isn’t one of our best players.
He scored against Newcastle in our big games only I don’t count Chelsea last season as a big game
And an assist against liverpool, goal against spurs, but the more important point is he has still played will in big games without a goal or assist. Like the 3-2 win v United.
So aside from all those examples where he played well, he has played poorly. But we can say that about any player.
