I recently updated Ubuntu, the one I use is Ubuntu budgie, and I encountered the following problem: after a few minutes of booting the system crashes.

No SSD activity, mouse locked, keyboard locked.

I just noticed that using the new kernel at boot time the Ubuntu “crest” when it loads comes and goes as if I had a screen connected. And after logging in I noticed that the mouse and animations are stuttering before the PC freezes completely.

The kernel I’m using when it crashes is: Ubuntu, with Linux 6.8.0-51-generic; While changing the kernel from GRUB (the kernel that works without crashing) is: Ubuntu, with Linux 6.5.0-44-generic.

The PC only has the integrated Intel video card, it is very old, it is a PC from 2009, a Lenovo Thinkpad 410
