At least 47 people have died in a fiery plane crash in southwestern South Korea, the local fire department has told CNN.

    I don’t know, just reporting what was being said.

    If enough (large) birds in flight got into the engines maybe it causes a fire? I don’t know though.

    I saw a suggestion that the pilots may have been too distracted by other issues to put down the gear.

    However, better to wait for a proper investigation.
