I love this for Scientology.
Years ago I was outside that location and decided to go in to check it out. The place was a ghost town inside. I was just walking around, picking up books and reading the back. Finally someone came up and talked to me. I said something like “I always walk by this place but don’t know anything about it. Thought I’d pop my head in.”
She was very suspicious of why I was there, wouldn’t answer questions, and basically herded me back out the door. I wasn’t even offered to take their personality test.
I rememer way back in the late 90s in Toronto, i dont know exactly where, but it was near the anarchist collective (circle a society?) ans there was a Scientology place but it was a bit covert where they offered the tests openly but didnt directly use the name Scientology.
Locals knew, and thankfully my locak friend filled me in.
I have only been in Pearson Airport a handful of times as my TO experience, lay overs are better there than they are at most other airports I have been stuck in! But I remember hearing about that Scientology “temple” or whatever they are called being on like the third floor of some office building or something, going by a foggy memory of hearing a story about it.
Sounds like the article was written by scientology cultists. And that lawyer they quoted sure had the cult’s look.
