Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i (13th Gen Intel Core i5 13420H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) and switch to Linux. Before I make the purchase, I wanted to check with anyone who might have already tried running Linux on this laptop.

Here are the key specs:

13th Gen Intel Core i5 13420H

16GB RAM

512GB SSD

Intel UHD Graphics

15.6” FHD Display (1920 x 1200)

Fingerprint Reader & Backlit Keyboard

Wi-Fi 6E & Bluetooth 5.1

I’m curious to know if anyone has run Linux on this model and what issues you faced, especially with:

Wi-Fi/Bluetooth support (particularly with Wi-Fi 6E)

Fingerprint reader and camera

Battery management and power optimizations

Display scaling/brightness

USB-C or HDMI functionality

Backlit keyboard or other special features

Additionally, if you’ve found a particular Linux distro that works better with this laptop, I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
