I am running Ubuntu 24.10 on Raspberry Pi 5. Previously I was using a Samsung SyncMaster 591s monitor. It had no issues at all (except for the small screen size). I recently got a secondhand LCD ACER monitor. When plugged into my other rig (Windows 10, i3 - 10th Gen, Nvidia GT710), the monitor works absolutely fine but when I try to use it using my Rpi 5 running ubuntu, there is imbalance in screen brightness across the screen, blurry and displaced text (despite having the correct resolution). I was using a generic HDMI to VGA adapter for both the Samsung monitor and the ACER one. I think it maybe an issue of display driver. I would be grateful if somebody helps me fix my issue.
