Now, I’m back to thinking the world might blow up any minute, again. So yes, this could have a lasting effect on children.

I grew up thinking the US and USSR were going to blow up the world at any minute. Then I thought we’d be OK. Now, I’m back to thinking the world might blow up any minute, again. So yes, this could have a lasting effect on children.
If it’s any consolation (it’s not) it won’t blow up, it’ll just steadily get worse.
