More people need to understand that the police quite literally protect land owners and business owners.

If you rent and are an employee, the police basically don’t work for you. Your tax contribution to their project puts you on the other side, until you’re in the “land tax” or “I generate taxes on others” club, their actual goal is to extract more money out of you through fines or actual enslavement.

Lol if it wasn’t for that narc at the McDonald’s he probably would’ve gotten away with it for much longer. The NYPD detectives were pretty stuck in their investigation up until then.

To be fair, law enforcement is just looking for overtime pay. They don’t care who was murdered. The bean counters at city hall are the ones who determine their budget.

    Seems like a confirmation bias

There are lot of resource and effort put in place for crimes against regular people. Rescue operations and holding justice has come a long way, although it’s not perfect. They dont appear in news often because its just regular people.

Because of attention of media and since it is a significant person who died, there is significant attention give from law enforcement to this case.

The differnce is just attention and not about resource. We saw more update of this particular situation from media which may have caused a bias of thinking “resources and efforts are little for regular people”.
