The only thing that gives me hope is military incompetence, no way those warheads work after decades of storage and no testing.
The engineering that goes into these things is insane, I doubt they would stop functioning, even after such a long time. Also, every country with nuclear capabilities makes damn sure they have working ones on standby all the time. As much as I wish you were right, I’m afraid the people in charge are way too obsessed with that kind of power.
seeing how much of the US military is a paper tiger designed to funnel as much public funds to military shareholders, I wouldn’t be surprised if at least 1% of nukes still work.
I highly doubt that, but even if it were true, it literally takes one nuke to change the entire course of humanity
