    Crazy that as awful as the Emery era was we managed to get Saka and Saliba from it

      Saka came from academy and Saliba from yough scouting, both signings that Unai had absolutely nothing to do with.

      Emery era was a special kind of awful but unrelated to how good our players are now.

        LOL. Emery broke Saka and Smith-Rowe into the first team. He actually cultivated the youth better than Arteta has so far.

      Emery signed Tierney, Saliba, Martinelli and gave debuts to Saka and ESR. Club might be too big for him, but his talent ID and development is still there.

      That’s more credit to Edu and our academy than Emery specifically. Emery did give Saka his debut though. Still remember those Saka 77 Europa League nights
