Magyar literally means hungarian in hungarian.
i see people remark on this, but it’s an extremely normal last name here.
we have a whole suite of ethnicity-type last names:
- Horvát = croat
- Tóth = slovak
- Rácz and Szerb = serb
- Lengyel = polish
- Németh = german
- Oláh = romanian
- so of course there’s also Magyar
Didn’t the guy throw out the constitution when he came back the first time? It’s a nice gesture but autocrats don’t care about the rules.
