    Is that not a solid trunk in the center? The brown spots are dormant buds do like others are saying, you should be fine

      Two have a brown trunk, the other two look like there were still leaves below when they were cut off

    I don’t think you could kill a yukka if you tried. Currently trying to kill some, is more difficult than you’d think.

    Yucca roots like crazy, just place in soil and occasionally water and you should be fine.
