              This but slightly unironically, I have at least a tiny bit of hope that colorado would fight for its citizens

                I agree, I just find it blatantly obvious that Republicans have been lying about the “states rights” arguments and will flip the script and impose their federal bans if given the chance.

          So did Arizona. But Project 2025 plans to just ban it federally anyway. So it won’t mean shit in the end.

            Weed is illegal federally but that didn’t stop states from allowing dispensaries. Maybe it’s different in some way but I’m not sure how it would be.

              The federal government, DEA, etc. said they wouldn’t pursue cases in states that legalized it.

              They 100% could if they wanted to. And there’s no reason to believe that a new Trump admin would follow through on any promises like that going forwards, if they even made any.

                I see. Well I bet acting on either of those things against the laws and wishes of the state would be at least massively unpopular, whatever that counts for anymore.
