Full quote: “It’s strange that he attacked me like this for no reason.”

“I’ve always thanked him for the help he gave me on the field, but this is a bit of a stupid exit.”

"Everyone can have their own opinions… I can think that Ronaldo was stronger than Maradona, you can compare players, but not as he did.”

While Ibra was a bit too brazen about the interview questions, it makes sense why he feels a certain way about Balo wasting his potential.

He knew he could really succeed at the highest level and unfortunately didn’t beyond a certain point. When you’ve been a mentor to someone you can relate to that feeling and I think Ibra was that for Balo.

Balo is a little sensitive to the obvious truth pointed out here and is reacting.

i think Ibra was projecting onto Balotelli because Ibra himself couldn’t get passed a league win his career and could never perform in knockout stages.

he’s probably mad that he he and his mentee are failures in a sense.

Balo should or COULD be leading the line for ITA as a veteran right now instead he’s playing who the fuck knows where.

Zlatan is complete fair to say what he said. He isn’t even being mean he is just saying the truth. Mario got so many fucking chances even till he was in France he played in top teams like Nice/Marseille. Because he had such brilliance. He truly was a complete strker, he could take on his man, had height power and great finishing + creativity.

I don’t rate Balo but balo is right. It was a low blow. Balo was in most cases mentally fragile, this may have really destroyed his career and his mindset towards the game. If you study psychology then you know a kid like that would not function well playing for a country like Italy. Hell Totti and most Italian fans have him hell, so it’s easy to act out.

I think he would have a better career had he opted to play for Ghana instead.

Who cares, Ibra made a mistake making this clown relevant again, should just ignore him and let him fade back into obscurity

Lol, he did not say that out of the blue. He was asked a question and he answered. Blame the journalist for starting this.

I love Balotelli more than most and I’ve always held an interest in his career arc. He is sometimes disappointing, but never uninteresting. I 100% believe the follies of his youth have led him to be wise and insightful. Unfortunately I think he will only ever be seen as the physical embodiment of a meme by the press but those embarrassments of the past seem to have really crafted him into a humble and mature guy

Balotelli is insecure, what Zlatan said wasn’t an attack. It is a common assessment that most people would agree with. Balotelli was immature and undisciplined, and he didn’t reach his full potential. It’s as simple as that.
