China’s persecution of Uyghurs prompted the U.S. to ban Xinjiang imports. China found a way around it — by shipping more Uyghurs across the country.

Why there are so many people who are not Chinese and know China as tourists at best are defending China, downplaying and even denying its worst crimes against humanity?

Because the people making the allegations aren’t Chinese either and don’t even know it as tourists. The only people taking it seriously are people who get all their information from tightly controlled information bubbles where the mods delete any dissent as fast as possible to minimise exposure.

It’s either a Chinese bot or someone full of projections, you can see his moderation logs and see the message deleted of him spreading misinformation, trolling and Uyghur genocide denial which got him banned from /c/world@lemmy.world This bot also barely knows what homophobic and xenophobic means and use whatever just like AI hallucinating, if it’s a person then this person must be drinking lead to be this moot.

Someone else seemingly trolling just because me and others were pointing him wrong on spreading ableist misinformation and genocide denial and called it a psyop and this bot agreed then created a “meme” where the other bot or person without proper grammar to post in the Memes community from .ml to bait others to get banned there still repeating its a psyop though who knows these two if a person could be the same, very coordinated mesages if you ask me.

He also tries to mislead others the reason he got banned from !world@lemmy.world in that same topic calling others pointing him wrong with evidence and arguments which this bot seems incapable of doing.

If you check his profile on any given China-related news this bot makes a braindead comment denying or appeasing CCP, its not even subtle, if its a person I wonder if its getting paid enough for this much effort put into trolling and spreading misinformation.

The workers are paid, but the conditions they face are unclear.

Lol. About the level of journalism I expect from a paper that mostly exists to defend Israel: “people have jobs, they may or may not suck”

A more accurate hardline: Western efforts to strangle the Xinjiang economy forces Uyghurs to find work elsewhere.
