I just don’t “get” Minetest devs decisions to change the name and make themselves more distinct from Minecraft.

That was the appeal in the first place. If you’re not trying to be a Minecraft clone, you’re just another ripoff that doesn’t come close.

MineTest came close, but now they’re going in a different direction? Sounds like a self inflicted death spiral for the project…😳🤦‍♂️

    @lianna@mastodon.gamedev.place for sure, I haven’t dove deep into all the different content packs and mostly have stuck to 2 or 3 of the Minecraft clone ones but that does sound frustrating and confusing.

    These changes they’re making won’t fix that though as far as I can tell.
