It was just the timing I guess. I grew up with cassettes and cassette players. My cousin had money and cd players. I remember him popping smack my bitch up into a CD player and i was super impressed by the whole thing

I had a similar feeling growing up on the N64 and seeing a PS3 before I ever saw a PS2.
Hahaha mine was having NES and seeing a play station. My grandma died with tube tvs with the turn knobs still in the house! the technology I grew up with did not reflect the time period for the most part. I did get a N64 And I’m sure my mom busted her ass to get it. Big W for both of us.

And according to this, Kool Keith was aware of the Prodigy’s music before they got in touch for this Diesel Power collab.
Just listened to that album again yesterday!
I still love this album art. Used to go into my brother’s room n see it.
I was bit too young for it but few years after, started borrowing those cds off him lol.
I love all Prodigy but those early albums hit hard!
So this is why I thought that crab video was from the early 2000s…
