I recently replaced/rebuilt my rig, but kept my original Asus TUF RTX 3080. I figured I’d replace the paste with a Thermal Grizzly Kryosheet while I was in there. While I was doing that, I noticed a place on a thermal pad that was kind of torn, but I mushed it back together and put the card back. GPU and memory temps are both around 70c during stress test, but hot spot temp sat at 104c, which is concerning. Could it be that I need to replace the thermal pads or should I look at something else?
Note: I’m not sure how/where these temps are calculated from. In the past, I replaced my 2070 paste with a carbonaut pad without issue. I don’t know if the hotspot temp would kick up that high if this sheet moved a little, but still read that gpu temp is fine. Just kind of at a loss for ideas here, any help would be great
