I recently lost a decent amount of weight ~50lb went from 4XL to 2XL size, I stored most of my old clothing in vaccum sealed bags because I expected to one day lose the weight.

A lot of this clothing is around 6years old but it still looks good. Its been washed once a year and placed back in storage. Unfortunately I was too ignorant to learn to wash my clothes properly at the time so I used the speed wash and speed dry cycle, unfortunately that meant I washed it everytime with hot water and dried on high heat. Everything shrank.

Today I tried on some 2XL and it fits fitted on the width but the length is comically too short, showing belly without even raising my arms. Next to a brand new 2XL shirt the size difference is very noticeable mostly in length. I’m not expecting the clothes to fit perfectly again but at the very least to fit better than how it currently fits.
