The Prairieland defendants are facing horrendous conditions in Tarrant County Jail where they were moved this week before trial. They have had their legal paperwork confiscated, held in filthy cells, and treated as violent and dangerous. They are strapped to a cart when leaving their cells and many have not been able to access the tablets that allow them to contact their family or reading material.
We are asking our supporters to call the jail and the judge and demand that this change. They have a right to a fair trial and to be treated as innocent until proven otherwise.

“I’m calling about the condition of the Prairieland defendants in Tarrant County Jail. The conditions they are experiencing are unconstitutional and will impact their ability to get a fair trial and as the judge on the case Pittman needs to order the jail to treat them appropriately. We demand that they be moved to general population, and have access to reasonable food, hygiene and communication with their families and lawyers. They must have a fair trial.”
