I am glad that a lot of these feel good stories have been getting called out on, this isn’t the world the way it is supposed to be. The world the way it is supposed to be is one where it is possible to backpack across Europe. Something somewhere went wrong.

Clearly we disagree and I don’t want to make that even more apparent. I just wanted to reply and ask where did you get that idea? Usually it’s either between “I have faith that there is a god so I believe he exists” or “there’s no evidence to show there is a god so I don’t believe in one.” You’re saying there isn’t one in our universe which is new.

This is similar to saying “Santa is supposed to exist but something happened and now I don’t have my presents.” Nothing is supposed to be.
It is if you oversimplify the argument and assume that things were “Working as intended” at some point…
