Think he’s talking about Ramsdale saying he and Arteta compromise had about his starting position on the pitch. He’s not as comfortable that far from goal so he said he compromised with Arteta for it to be a little deeper.
Not as harshly but I sort of agree with what OP is saying in that sense.

Dunno I think coaching is always meant to be a conversation. You can dictate a starting position for him but if he’s not confident there it will show and he’ll likely play worse.
