      I swear 90% of the people who use the word autistic doesn’t actually know what it means. It’s used so much as an insult these days it’s unacceptable

      As a “neurodivergent”, bad jokes apart I much rather being made fun of because that would mean nobody would be treating me like a fucking child. If you can make fun of adhd people you can make fun of autistic people as long as they are funny. One of the best descriptions of autism on the media it’s from the onion. I would love it if they made one of these for BD people. We don’t see BD jokes as much as other disorders it might be kinda hard though to make one, since it’s a little bit more complex than other disorders. We don’t have explicit behaviors patterns such as autistics or our closest brothers schizophrenics.

      Even /r/Bipolar became a place of only serious posts it used be nice seeing some memes and whatnot

        As a fan of dark humor, I get what you mean.

        Similarly, Race can be humorous when used in a humorous context.

        But in this context, calling someone autistic or suffering from autism because you’re in a debate with them is downright downplaying of a medical condition that impacts millions.

        It’s insensitive.
