    I’m not saying it was the banter era; I’m agreeing with you that it wasn’t.

    The banter era proper, as you say, began much earlier and ended earlier. Dating the end to Özil’s signing is both widely accepted and generally sensible, though I do know some people hold it through the end of the trophy drought.

      The question was what would you tell somebody who was in a coma for 10 years.

      My preference would be to start their return back to consciousness with something to look forward to, as opposed to being technically correct for the sake of semantics.

    They are in banter eras why would they all be the same?

    Our banter era was firmly defined by an insistence that Arsenal were 1 signing away from winning the league. While In reality we were mediocre for the level we wanted to be at.
