Asking a legit question, and curious what folks thoughts are. Phones with a hinge that bend and fold, we’ve had them for several years now.
However, they haven’t reached much market share, and aren’t expected to be that popular over the next five years.

Is the folding phone done?

    @SomeGadgetGuy@techhub.social given how the tablet segment turned out, it’s hard to see those expensive fragile foldable bricks dominating the market.

    Tablets ended up as glorified video players with a few exceptions. I very much blame Android and iOS, sorry, iPadOS for the artificial limitations of the software stack.

    Multitasking is an afterthought on those larger screens, input is still limited. How much better would those devices be if you can treat it as a small but fully functional PC?

      Every time I trot out my surface duo, I still hope Microsoft will season Windows on ARM a little more, and then try again with a mini tablet. It could be SO good…
