Nvidia's latest DLSS 4.5 upscaling now uses a 2nd gen Transformer model that promises improved visual fidelity. While all RTX GPUs can leverage DLSS 4.5 super resolution, older RTX 20 and RTX 30 series cards may suffer a performance penalty owing to lack of FP8 and FP4 units in their Tensor cores. Also on offer is dynamic multi-frame generation up to 6x on RTX 50 series Blackwell GPUs.
