I don’t know if everyone is aware of this website, but comrades I’m here to present to you the website that has ALL Marxists and other writings. It includes writings from the Bolsheviks, to Mao Zedong and others. It includes works from all great revolutionary leaders and others. They aren’t just in English either. All for free. Its an archive of all writings.
It is quite famous to most english-speaking communists (and they even have other language instances) but the MIA has been known to edit out content they don’t like and not telling anyone. I talked about this in this essay: https://en.prolewiki.org/wiki/Essay:Design_considerations_for_our_new_library
We’re trying to do better with ProleWiki’s library, including adding TTS eventually. But we don’t have nearly as much content as they do on our library (they’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and we’ve been doing it for 3). And sometimes we have no choice but to pick from MIA as we can’t find a document somewhere else. We do include where we source our documents from as much as possible though, so readers can quickly see if they came from the MIA or elsewhere.
Link to our library: https://en.prolewiki.org/wiki/ProleWiki:Library
I know about the wiki. I’ve got the website bookmarked and follow it on Twitter. I never knew MIA would edit out content they don’t like. It’s disappointing.
I hope for the best. Thank you for letting me know comrade.
As someone who didnt know you had a library and just checked it out few suggestions if you are open to them:
Happy to write out longer use cases/feature requests if you’d like
Thanks!
(Different person) 1. I only saw it in the “Welcome to ProleWiki” the “library of texts”, didn’t realise the other two. Though, I should point out that in the mega menu, Library is next to “Recent changes” and “Wanted pages”, that’s not where I would think to find Library, the navigation feels like technical pages, not useful for non-editors. In fact, when I click on “Recruitment” I just get a permission error. A part of the menu is dedicated to recent changes. Why? Ah, didn’t even realise this, even having just written both of them down, but you have recent changes twice.
