Autos trade group Mobility Sweden said new vehicle registrations of Tesla models were down 80.7% in April amid a backlash against the political activity of CEO Elon Musk.

Tesla registrations were 203 in April, down from 1,052 a year before.

It was one of the worst-performing automakers for the month in the Nordic country, and sat in contrast to an overall 11% rise in new passenger vehicle registrations to 24,292.

Polestar Automotive, a Swedish electric automaker and one of Tesla’s competitors, saw its sales hit 535 in April, an 11.5% increase.

The story of Elon will be a phenomenal one. Icarus af. He could have ended world hunger and much more, but decided to become a nazi cunt and ruin everything. Money can’t buy intelligence.

To become a billionaire you have to be a piece of shit human being. No billionaire is ever going to solve world anything, because again… They are trash human beings.

There are two reasonably good ones, as far as I know - Gabe Newell and Bill Gates.

        The rest though… yeah.
The world would be a very different place if every billionaire was anything like those two.

Gates became a billionare by being a trash human being, then probably decided he didn’t want that to be his legacy so he started being somewhat less of one. He’s doing significantly better than most, but still probably a net negative.

He isn’t even being better than anyone, all he does is publicity stunts while not fixing anything. Everything he has donated was for tax writeoffs.

Uh huh. The man who has donated roughly 100 billion in total - apparently as “tax writeoffs” - including funding the Gates foundation which spent countless billions treating malaria, aids, tuberculosis, polio, hiv and a myriad of other things, hasn’t fixed anything because billionaire = bad.

As he lobbies for stronger pharmaceutical IP (that he’s invested in) in African countries; when mosquito nets would have been more effective. If you follow the money all of gates philanthropy ultimately benefits gates. He’s a trash human like all billionaires, he’s just really good at PR.

I can’t believe it will last. Bubble has to pop. International sales in the toilet, Cybertruck failing, domestic sales down, supply chains in shock from tariff chaos, and on top of it all, it’s PE ratio makes no sense compared to all other manufacturers.

The entire stock price is based on nothing but Elon Musk and the world is starting to look at him as an idiot.

      1. Elon and his brother hold most of the stock. He does not need to be the CEO to control Tesla and profit directly.
      2. Tesla are garbage cars that keep getting people killed and injured, even getting trapped and burnt to death inside.
      3. Tesla commits odometer fraud to avoid honoring warranties they sold to their customers.
      4. Other automakers who have been building cars for decades longer than Tesla have superior electric vehicle offerings, and much cheaper prices.
      5. Tesla committed rebate fraud in Canada.
      6. Teslas are one of the most expensive vehicles to insure, because they break down and malfunction at higher rates than other comparable vehicles.

I could go on and on and on, but the above alone should be sufficient.

“You love to see it” is an expression of satisfaction, amusement, or even mild glee when something good or desirable happens, particularly when it involves someone getting what they deserve or a situation turning out favorably. It often implies a sense of vindication or a feeling of relief that a situation has reached a positive resolution.

I don’t think racism is worse here than most places. Most people here who are against emigrants, have no problem with their emigrant neighbor or emigrant green grocer, it’s this weird phenomenon where the ones they know are OK, it’s all the others that are the problem.

Mostly standard fear of the unknown, which is a universal human trait.

They left their country to settle here.
              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emigration

Emigration is the act of leaving a resident country or place of residence[1] with the intent to settle elsewhere

I don’t see the problem. I’m seeing it from their perspective, making the word Immigration silly IMO.

Ok I was just trying to help you understand the correct use of those words, as you are a Dane and English not being your native tongue.

You are talking about them from your POV as a Dane. That makes them imigrants. If a Dane moved to the USA, he would, from your POV, be an emigrant.

In other words; a foreigner is always an imigrant, a fellow native leaving is always an emigrant.

Apathetic in the large scale, but very warm and friendly at the smaller one.

I lived in the American South, I find this to be much more to my liking as the smiling faces seem less likely to be covering deep, hateful racism looking for an excuse to resort to violence.
