    There were several choices made in this episode: Paolo’s opening number, Bernie’s wig reveal, the LSFYL songs. But it was an exciting finale, especially Arizona’s lip sync with Jade. And despite all the controversy surrounding Captivating Katkat, that win was well deserved.

    What a great season! It may be because I’m Filipino but I have never been as excited waiting for a Drag Race episode drop every single week. I fell in love with the top 6 and hope to get to see their shows someday. Now to wait another year for season 3.

      This top 6 was iconic. I’m not Philippino and I can say as a foreign spectator this season was pure gold, and the top queens were really the crème de la crème.

      Paolo’s dancing was more stuff than RuPaul and she must be half the age of Mama Ru. Do international franchises have an order of not letting international host outshine Ru or is Paolo just really bad at Dancing? LoL

      In any case, I really did enjoy mama Pao as a host a lot. I’d actually live to see her in an all stars international like Pangina did, or maybe as a guest at Roscoe’s. I don’t know if it’s something about her accent speaking English but she always sounds like she’s a bit drunk :-P

      I am curious. Besides the incident with Miss Jade So, what’s the controversy surrounding captivating Kat Kat? I do agree she was a deserving winner

        I’ve read that even prior to her getting on the show, Katkat shaded someone on season 1 (IIRC Minty), saying they picked someone who looks good only in photos, thus her standee for her entrance look—she looks good in photos and in person. I read that she already got hate from that. Someone also dug up an Islamophobic tweet she did; a terrorist group was laying waste to a city in southern Ph around that time, though that doesn’t excuse what she posted. She also once did a Grace Jones look as a tribute but painted her skin dark, practically doing blackface. When she got called out for it around the time s2 was about to start, she made a comment how Black people have so many gripes when what she did was a tribute.

        I’m not making an excuse for the things she’s said and done. A lot of Filipinos are ignorant about cultural and societal issues; our being a developing country with a high poverty rate plays a large part in this. Nonetheless, those who get called out for ignorant remarks have to learn to apologize and acknowledge what they did was wrong. Katkat has apologized since, so I’m willing to see whether she’s learned from all this and will know to think first before saying or doing something ignorant or mean. Her drag sisters seem to love her, so I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt
