That’s different from seeing a plant overrun. If those cateepillars aren’t mobbing on your tree en masse it’s prob OK to leave em alone.

Hence my post and asking, but to claim only invasive bugs are bad is pretty wild growmie.

Its about degrees, right? If you see 1 leaf with 1 slug are you going to bust out the poison? Prob not. That’s different from seeing a plant overrun. If those cateepillars aren’t mobbing on your tree en masse it’s prob OK to leave em alone.
