My worst fear as a child: the power going out while playing this game. I was convinced he erased all your progress.
I thought he did if you did it too many times. But I was also too chicken to test it out 🐓
He would bluff you. He would give you his huge speech, then say thats it im deleting your save, and the screen would go blank for like 30 seconds. Then he would come back like ‘TRY ME ILL REALLY DO IT’
The Japanese are brutal. I would have cried…and shut the console off in those 30 seconds anyway creating an infinite loop of misery.

Like I got the idea of what they were going with… but they had to make it soooo long? Like if you did it multiple times this screen lasted for a looong time as far as I remember it was annoying as fuck… like man… it’s 100% of the time a mistake I am not trying to cheat at animal crossing or similar and even if I did it was a DS game with very small “multiplayer” like who cares…
Like letting you know that you fucked up and you can lose progress or get the save corrupted ok… but not that long thing…
