Luckily being President is mostly a 9-5 /s

    This makes sense.

I think it’s funny that with Nixon they used to ignore his orders at night and wait until he sobered up in the morning.

    This isn’t anything like that.

I wouldn’t be scheduling non-critical meetings after 8:00 PM either. A normal president’s day must start around 7:00 or 8:00 AM. Unless it’s an emergency, I don’t see a need for a President to be working more than a dozen or so hours a day.

On the topic, do MAGAts really think that their orange god was awake, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and working at 8:00 AM every day after staying up and rage tweeting until 3:00 AM? I would be shocked to find out that Trump did any actual work at all before noon.

Trump supporters are going to have a fucking field day with this.

Please you fucking prideful asshat. If you get Trump reelected we’ll never fucking forgive you. If you can’t win this then step the fuck down.

Honestly I feel it is so, so optimistic to believe any hardcore Democratic supporter will ever blame Biden if he loses.

      Order of blame assigned:

      1. The FUCKING LEFTISTS for being critical of him, which means none of them voted for him and also they’re responsible for anyone else that didn’t vote!!
      2. Gen Z and/or Millennials, for some reason
      3. People who live in areas where their vote counts for less (ie, anyone in a city or a populous state)
      4. Oh I guess the Republicans shouldn’t have run Trump and then voted for him

As someone who voted for Bernie and then Hillary and was maligned as a Bernie Bro I can say that eventually they give up and admit their candidate was actually flawed… but it takes a while.

Well that sure instills confidence! He’s good as long as he doesn’t have any events at night or need to work late. This is fine for an elective job, where an old person has a task that will take 50 hours performed whenever they feel up to it, not for a candidate. All these excuses are just other ways in which he’s not fit to be candidate. Can’t change time zones within a WEEK of an event? Can’t schedule anything after 8 pm? Cancel if he’s got a cold (one of those colds that make you incoherent but involve no coughing or sniffling)?

We shouldn’t be rolling the dice with an increasing list of restrictions needed for Biden to be up for public interaction.

The “who do you want to be in the white house when the phone rings at 3 in the morning?” write themselves.

    Jesus fucking christ.

The funniest part is when they pivot to Biden not being important because staff does everything…

Every argument for Biden being the candidate, comes down to Biden having zero power or importance as president. But also trump can do anything he wants if Biden loses.

Like, why the fuck are we plowing ahead with 34% approval rating incumbent if he literally brings nothing to the table? And if Biden as president is powerless, the only way Trump could be so dangerous is Biden chooses not to act.

The more people talk about Biden, the less sense he makes as a candidate to voters.

And getting more votes (in the right states) is what matters most short term. Biden isn’t up to it.

    Because he’s sundowning…

He’s no longer fit to be president, they’ve been hiding it for a year, he’s lucky he hasn’t gotten the 25th.

    Pre-emptive edit:

Yes, trump is worse. But republicans won’t do shit. We can be better than them. Have higher standards.

It’ll even help keep republicans out of office.

    Edit:

For people who don’t know what that is, he’s admitted to most of the symptoms, and the things he blames the symptoms on, are literally well known triggers that exacerbate the symptoms.

    https://www.webmd.com/alzheimers/manage-sundowning

    https://www.nia.nih.gov/health/alzheimers-changes-behavior-and-communication/tips-coping-sundowning

If you’re lucky enough you’ll develop symptoms before you die, we’re all on a clock our brains don’t work forever.

Do you even know what sundowning means?

It happens late afternoon or early evening so it’s not like he’s not scheduling things after three like you would expect with that.

It must get tired constantly saying the same things about the same person.

Yeah, I kept hearing the term as well, and understood the general gist, but realized I didn’t actually know what it means. When I looked it up it refers to some pretty serious Alzheimer’s or dementia symptoms.

Hey mods, seeing actual articles constantly downvoted because people don’t like the news is getting really fucking old. Is it possible to start handing out some time outs or maybe just make a meta post?

I am not familiar with the underlying infrastructure and what data is visible for who but there is a record on a per user basis of who has voted for what to prevent repeated voting. Is that information not available to mods?

It’s available to admins at least and I believe Kbin has it on by default for everyone so it should be publically available if someone wanted to find it. That said I don’t think anyone is interested in that level of micromanagement unless its something like mass downvote accounts.

        My bro! You truly understand!

Nah, I like having a discussion. I’m just concerned that every article pointing out Biden’s flaws is losing out on visibility and discussion with those folks that aren’t crazy like us and don’t sort by New.

Thank you for at least not declaring me a tankie. There are times when I’m on the same side of the argument as both of them and there are times I vehemently disagree with them.

I can’t speak to what the ADMINs can see, because I’m not an admin, but as a mod, we can’t see the source of up and down votes any more than anyone else.

We have the queue of reported posts and comments, and removal and ban tools, and that’s pretty much it.

But what you’re complaining about is largely the hivemind at work.
