A quick check online suggests that supermarket bread prices in the US are pretty much the same as most European countries (apart from the fact the US bread couldn’t be sold in the EU because it would be classed as cake due to the sugar content)
Plus looking at artisanal bread from independent bakeries, it’s the US whose prices are far higher
So do you have any other sources for European bread being “6 to 10 times more expensive”?
