I personally hate rounded corners and shadows added everywhere. Makes most things look crappy and smudged.

Nah, definitely not. As silly as it sounds, that was what I was most excited about in Windows 11 - finally some nice rounded corners on non-maximized windows.
If it’s done will, it can be a treat. But more often than not, companies screw up - making it look tacky and outdated

If it’s just a little, like 3px corner radius, it can look good, I like that.
