    ‘I want to push back on the 50% figure. Most Americans don’t even vote. Maybe 50% of “voters” say fuck yeah, but even that isn’t accurate since he didn’t even win the popular vote.’

    Semantics. If he gets in the rest of the world will associate Americans with him. Because he won the election. The fact that he manipulated, rigged, coerced or whatever is neither here nor there. It’s the same way that we tend to associate all Russians with Putin, Chinese with Xi and the British with whoever is in the seat this week. Just over 50% (of the people that voted) were in favour of Brexit but now that label and it’s repercussions are associated with all of us. If everyone that didn’t want it had voted, we’d still be in the EU.

    This is why it’s so important to vote.

    And to have honest and accountable politicians, although I may have stepped into fantasy here.
