New content for once!
A build of Amodel’s Bf-109 kit. Chosen primarily because of the quite good detail present on the engine element. For 1/72, I severely doubt there’s much more detail to be had without using aftermarket resin parts, though wire was added to add some engine detail not moulded in. Coincidentally, was also my first time adding rivets to all the body panels. It turned out fine.
The kit came together a lot better than the cheap Revell stuff, though the price is quite decent for this kit. However, I did realise that Revell still has some of the best decals detail-wise. The included ones look the part, but it’s very clear that none of the text is legible, while Revell 1/72 / 1/144 scale decals are mostly legible up to the smallest text size. The clear parts aren’t great, but after polishing with Tamiya polishing compound they turned out alright.
Sadly this will be the last post here for a while, as I have nothing more to post, having just completed this.
