Ticker | Fund name | Market segment | Fee |
---|---|---|---|
AVTE | Avantis Emerging Markets Equity Active ETF | Emerging markets | 0.45% |
AVTG | Avantis Global Equity Active ETF | Global developed | 0.30% |
AVTS | Avantis Global Small Cap Value Active ETF | Global developed - small cap value | 0.49% |
Afaik the first specifically small cap value ETF available domestically? Dimensional (and presumably others) have had small OR value but not both. VanEck have ETFs for “quality” which have some overlap.
A smidge pricey at 0.49% but I guess not terrible compared to the alternatives available. At a glance it looks like basically a wrapper over the US version of the fund.
how different from https://www.betashares.com.au/fund/australian-small-companies-select-fund-managed-fund/?
The main thing is that SMLL only covers Australia. AVTS is global developed (global excluding emerging markets).
There are also some important differences in methodology and number of holdings but those are less relevant insofar as the two ETFs aren’t in the same product category 😅
