… And then you setup uBlock Origin, block 3rd party and resist fingerprint, and no single website will ever work correctly again.
Don’t you love it when a website is incapable of showing anything but a blank screen when javascript is disabled
Whats surprising to me is how many websites are completely functional
Don’t you love it when you view source and its all there and fully functional, but the body has
display: none;
because Web Framework of the Minute™ has convinced web designers that fancy animations are the bee’s kneesThey all deliberately act like they don’t know what Progressive Enhancement is
React became defacto and destroyed view source and progressive enhancement in a single blow
I’m honestly okay with that if it makes sense for the website.
A massive web app? That’s fine.
Your 2 page blog that you built using React and added 7 UI libraries? just turn on SSR ffs
i have ad and script blocking, plus a few other things. if a site doesn’t work. big deal, i’ll go elsewhere.
certain news sites in particular don’t seem to understand that they are not the only one with ‘the scoop’. lock an article behind a paywall, i’ll just click and drag that headline, then right-click and search. boom a dozen other non-paywalled sources for coverage of the same story, some with your exact article, even.
That moment of anger and confusion when you install a fresh Firefox and type in “ublock origin” in the address bar and get violated by Google’s consent popup. The frustration with yourself because you should’ve known better as you go to addons.mozilla.org and type your query in yet another search box, setup uBlock Origin, block 3rd party and resist fingerprint, and no single website will ever work correctly again. With Privacy Badger also installed ;p
Or install Librewolf and get all that out of the box
you need to go outside, my friend - enjoy the sun, touch some grass!
Never!
