My favorite evolutionary fact is how the sperm duct is wrapped around the bladder and pubic bone in humans that have them, forcing sperm to take a long path through the body. It was less of a deal when our ancestors walked on 4 legs, but now they’re wrapped around the ureter which connects the kidneys and the bladder.
Funny that is also very similar to the recurrent laryngeal nerve. Goes under the aorta and back up to get to the voice box. A few inches out of the way on humans. Several feet in giraffes.
