I searched on YouTube and could only find stuff that was either quite old, or more on the pop side. Are there Italian bands that really rock hard?

    Folkstone and Furor Gallico for folk metal, Novembre for prog/death metal, Temperance and Ancient Bards for power/symphonic metal

    Classic Metal/Rock is quite dead in Italy.

    The only metal band (doom/gothic in this case) that stands the test of time in my opinion is Novembre. Materia in particular is a masterpiece.

    If you’re into black metal it’s different. There is a lot going on underground and each year we get something special. Just to name one: Solitvdo Hegemonikon.

    I admit that their music’s a tad nerdy, but I like Master Boot Record, and just recently found out they’re Italian!
