This is approximately the opposite of true: speaking from my own experiences having once been a minor, the Internet was pretty much the only thing that gave me some sanity and will to live. If early-to-mid teen me had had only my family and classmates and no online social contacts, I’d have had almost nothing. That’s what you want to take away from current minors… >:(

Ich bin ja auch kein riesiger Fan von “milliardenschweren Techkonzernen” und deren Kommerzialisierung des Internets.

Aber aller Effekt, den zusätzliche staatliche Regulierung des Internets (und Alterskontrollen sind eine solche) haben kann und jemals haben wird, ist, sicherzustellen, dass nur Unternehmen mit ausreichend Umsatz, um die Kosten für die Einhaltung dieser Regulierung zu decken, im Internet irgendetwas betreiben können. Das sind dann genau die Techfirmen, die wir nicht mögen. Glaubst du, Fediverse-Instanzen werden eher Alterskontrollen einführen oder zusperren?

Wenn man das Internet reguliert, weil man die Geschäftspraktiken von Facebook bekämpfen will, wird auch nur Facebook im Internet übrig bleiben.

Natürlich sollten solche Paragraphen in einer freien Gesellschaft mit Recht auf freie Rede und Meinungsäußerung trotzdem nicht existieren. Oder wenn sie existieren, sollten Gerichte sie so auslegen, dass sie nur dann anwendbar sind, wenn die zugrundeliegende Straftat auch im räumlichen Anwendungsbereich des inländischen Strafgesetzbuches geschehen ist. Aber auf der Welt sollte vieles anders sein, als es ist.
